What it is

Voicecraft creates altered states of conversation.

Voicecraft helps people develop the craft of voice.

It is a response to the relative lack of places where curiousity, care, and the spirit that seeks wisdom, actively engage the depth of modern life and the patterns of reality which sustain us.

Core philosophy characteristic of participation in Voicecraft is the recognition that we are all involved in the communicational field which shapes us, and that the craft through which we interact influences the meaning we make, and the wisdom we share in.

Structurally, The Voicecraft Project is a media platform with online and in-person events programs, a guild, and an academy, knitted together by a global participatory network. The Voicecraft Network is an online hub for regular practice, research, collaboration and mutual learning. There are two YouTube channels, Altered States Of Conversation, and The Voicecraft Network, which create a through-line of genuine participation between world renowned luminaries, collaborators, and a network of voices practicing the craft.

In 2016 I founded The Voicecraft Project, a work of culture-making that seeks to increase the quality of communication that underpins discourse, so that more people can call on greater wisdom.

Participatory network

The Voicecraft Network

Voicecraft.network is an online network with participants from around the world. It's a well-held port in the storm of culture: a place to connect with others through depth and levity, and to participate in the cultivation of wisdom by sharing discerning attention and crafting authentic voice.

You won't find rules or a code of conduct pinned on a wall here. What matters is the embodiment of integrity with which we conduct ourselves, the dignity with which we treat each other, and the courage, care, and spirit through which we mutually create a context worthwhile to participate in.

Words from members

“Voicecraft holds a special place in my heart. Here, I feel that my whole being is invited to participate and find a place. Abstract and intellectual thinking, the big words and ideas, do not lose touch with the personal, intimate, felt. Tim Adalin invites and draws out more from us than we thought we had—more depth, more beauty, more truth.”

Valeria Ferreira

“I value the depth and comprehensiveness of the dialogue and the genuine care that is consistently present in interactions on the network.”

Tom Lyons

“Voicecraft extends apprenticeship to a world of interaction and connection that hungers for mastery.”

O.G. Rose

“Voicecraft has helped me to become more playful with my voice, more willing to let it develop.”

Jess Vozel

“Voicecraft is one of the rare places where I feel like I can unfold more fully.”

Simon van der Els
